Once Upon A Picture

• What can you see here? Moon, Stars, Dog, Man, Rocket, Space suits
• Where are they? How do you know? On the moon because it’s very obvious
• Where did they come from? Nasa in america
• Why did they come to the moon? To see what’s on it
• What equipment does the man have? Why does he need it? Gun and a space suit he needs the gun in case there was aliens and space suit to breath
• Do you think the dog enjoys being on the moon? Why? What about the man? I think it’s just a big playground for the dog for the man it’s awesome to be the first man on the moon
• How long do you think they’ll stay? Not very long
• What will they do here? Nothing because the moon is empty
• Will anyone else join them? no

One morning, I woke up in nasa. It was flight day, they were sending me to the moon. I was going to be the first person on the moon. My dog and I walked over to the gear station (yes i’m taking my dog with me). We chucked our space suits on. Then we walked up the stairs, there were thousands of people cheering for me. I felt like I was the greatest man alive. We got in the rocket strapped ourselves in, waiting for the countdown. 3 2 1 LAUNCH. Aaaaahhhhhhh, it felt like all of my insides just got turned inside out. (Man on the mic) TOUCHDOWN. We had landed, all my insides felt normal again. I opened the door to find that we were on the moon. We walked out I heard the speech *one small ste..* and then my dog goon set foot on the moon before me, really goon *one small step for dog one giant leap for dog kind. Everyone in the nasa building were screaming with joy into there mics, it was so loud I think I went deaf. The moon was empty there was absolutely nothing on it, all this training for nothing ahhhhhhh.

Textiles

For Textiles this term, we have been making and sewing 'Creative Creatures'. This one is mine. Skills that I used were things like sewing on buttons when it had been stuffed and I learned how to snip the insides. It was pretty fun but I had lots of challenges the whole way of creating it. 

Camp 2019

Camp A few weeks ago we went on school camp. When we got to school we waited for everyone to get to school then the 3 classes got on the 3 buses. When we got there we unloaded our gear and they checked our day bags. My class went onto the beach and did some swimming games. We did this game where you had to get a stick before everyone else. Then we did water tug of war the boys won but then the adults bet our whole class! After that we go changed and went at lit some fires, my groups didn’t get our one going properly. Then on the main fire we made some dampers. They tasted really good! Then we went to the camp and set up our beds underneath the flys. Then we cooked our own tea. It wasn't the best tea but it was ok. After this we went to bed the boys in our tent stayed up till 3:00am. The teachers weren't very happy about that! The next morning we played some games and then walked back to the buses and went back to school. That camp was really quick!!!

Summer Learning Journey Week 1 Activity 1

New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia. The Auckland City Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere at 328 meters high. 30% of the country is forest.

Spider War 3

Spider War 3 

 We were very lucky to be alive. Months of fighting the big blue beasts day and night, there was blood, sweat and tears all over the battlefield. Wait, I will go to the beginning. I was sitting in front of the TV with my best friend Sam alongside me in our apartment that we rent together. The next day was a cold Monday morning when I woke to ground rumbling footsteps. I got out of my bed to go and see if Sam was OK. Lucky enough he was, but his halve of the apartment wasn't. It had been ripped off and thrown away into the distance. I ran to the window and I saw a horrible sight, there were big blue beasts that looked quite angry, they were quite unusual spiders, but they were huge. Sam and I got into our Humvee and drove around the neighbourhood gathering our fellow spiders, telling them there is an emergency meeting in the hall at exactly 10:00. Sure enough, they all showed up. We had a big discussion and some other spiders said they had just had a similar experience. We had a vote and we decided to make an army of the most dangerous spiders to attack the beast. Sam and I were the leaders of the army. We had to put up with them for months while our engineers built robots to battle against them. We also had to weave huge webs to pin them to the ground. The plan is to jump out of a plane with web parachutes and when we hit the ground we throw out the pockets size robots and get into them, use the claws to trip them up and then shoot big webs over them, and tell the beasts to stay away. The day had come and everything was ready to go, we had been waiting for this for about a year. The air troops boarded the plane and the ground troops were in there robots, everything was set up. Then all of a sudden thunder came. Boom! And it started to rain heavily, the ground troops shot the webs as fast as they could, then the spiders heard a loud bell ring and all the beasts ran away from us. We had WON! We had a celebration at Sam and I’s apartment. After a while the rain stopped and they all came running out again, it looked like they were coming for their revenge we tried to hold them back from the village but they were just too big. Our plan didn't work but a few weeks later there was a strong wind that blew some of the village over then a ever bigger beast that they call the principal came and fenced our village off and so the beasts never came back in.
